Last week, when Mick Carroll was passing through the town of Market Drayton in the U.K., an unusual sight made him do a double take.
It was a man, effortlessly cruising down the river, thanks to the help of a little remote controlled tug boat.

So simple, yet so clever, it might make you wonder why you hadn't thought about doing this before!
And, wouldn't you like to spend every afternoon soaking up the sunshine this way?

Apparently the "eccentric gentleman" as Mick called him, had put together his own homemade canal boat and was operating the tiny tug via remote control, which allowed him to glide across the water without having to do any rowing at all.
Mick captured a photo of the scene and posted it to Facebook with the caption: "Dont ya just love eccentric's. Seen this fella as we were passin thru Market Drayton gettin pulled along by a remote control tug. Brilliant."
According to the Facebook post, as the man cruised passed him, he shouted: "Just when you thought you'd seen everything!"
