Most people have been lucky enough to have seen a few starry skies in their lifetimes, but few are able to document it so well as João P. Santos. He's a Portuguese photographer with a specialty in capturing the night sky, and his photos are absolutely mindblowing.
These photos were taken in Alentejo, a region in southern Portugal that has low light pollution and therefore little interference with viewing the night sky. The nightscapes there are breathtaking, and Santos has captured their beauty with his incredible photography skills.
You can see more of his work on Facebook and 500px.
