It is spring and we will not have enough of those flowery, fragrant parks, gardens and even streets! Of course nature is waking up, but what about our cities? There are lush corners as well. And cherry blossoms are winning the competition, being the most popular urban plant. However, there are two surprises for you in this list, so check it out right away.
It is one of the most popular and favorite places to observe the sakuras in the city. A romantic walkaway of lined 260 cherry trees attracts almost a million visitors annually from all around the country. Besides boating in the river and observing the blossoms from water is a fun and a really good idea, since the park is usually packed with crowds at this time.
When to go there?: It is estimated that the best time to go is from March 27 to April 5 2015.

2. Changwon City, South Korea
The Jinhae Gunhangje Cherry Blossom Festival is the largest one in the country! It even features a military orchestra marching and playing through the streets, therefore it is also known as the Military Parade. The festival is being held since 1952 and it still attracts thousands of locals and guests who admire the blooming trees all around the town.
When to go there?: The festival takes place from April 1 to April 10.

3. Wisteria Tunnel, Kitakyushu, Japan
Twenty different species of Wisteria are found in Kawachi Fuji Gardens, that are 5 hours drive from Tokyo. White, blue, pink, purple and violet petals create an impression of a fairy-tale like place. A walk in this blooming tunnel must be so exhilarating and relaxing!
When to go there?: The best time of the year to visit the park is from late April to middle of May.
4. New York City, USA
How can one miss Big Apple in a list like this? Two best places to see the cherry blossoms in New York are Brooklyn Botanical Garden and Central Park, of course, although there are sakuras all around the city. In Brooklyn various Japanese cultural events take place in the garden and visitors love to come dressed up in traditional Japanese clothing.
When to go there?: Sakuras are in full bloom from around mid to late April or even May.

5. Vancouver, Canada
Being one of the hip cities in the country, Vancouver is always vibrant and fun place to be. And for nearly the whole April it celebrates spring with an abundance of events, shows, Japan fairs and blooming sakuras of course.
When to go there?: This year the festival will take place from April 2 to 29.
6. Jacarandas Walk, Pretoria, South Africa
The tropical purple trees, native to South America, were brought here over 100 years ago. It is estimated that there are around 70 000 Jacaranda trees in one of the capital cities! Therefore Pretoria’s nickname is Jacaranda City.
When to go there?: In South African spring – in October the trees bloom with all their might!
7. Stockholm, Sweden
Once in Stockholm visit Kungsträdgården park. It is one of the most popular places in the capital, where people meet, enjoy a day out and outdoor activities. In summer there are a lot of various cultural events and concerts taking place, in winter a skating rink attracts guests and locals, while in spring thousands of cherry blossoms fills the air with joy.
Why to go there?: The park is a nice place to go anytime. It is a meeting spot for many locals, who then go to one of the numerous cafes or restaurants surrounding Kungsträdgården.

8. London, UK
The beloved hip capital has many parks and gardens, so behold for spring! Kew and Kensington Gardens, Regent’s and Greenwich’s Parks as well as numerous streets – you just name it – become a feast for eyes. Of course there are other plants in these areas, but sakura is the Queen of the month.
When to go there?: April is the time to go see cherry blossoms. However, the parks and gardens are popular attractions all year round, since there a variety of plants can be found.

9. Vilnius, Lithuania
The historic capital becomes especially beautiful in spring – the locals are very proud of its lush greenery. Meanwhile the bank of river Neris next to National Gallery of Art gets covered in cherry blossoms and is the most popular spot to view the trees. The weather is colder in Lithuania, therefore sakuras bloom here later than in most of the countries in the list.
When to go there?: One can usually admire the trees from mid April to early May.

10. Amsterdam, The Netherlands
One can find blooming cherry trees all around the Dutch capital, but it is especially dense with them in the Amsterdamse Bos. The English park is about three times the size of Central Park! There is this lane of sakuras that makes it a really romantic place to visit in spring once in the area.
When to go there?: It is estimated that the festival will take place from April 11 this year.
