Mayo Beach is one of the busiest, most beautiful beaches in St. Martin. It's bright blue waters aren't the only reason for its popularity - at Maho Beach, visitors can get up close and personal with incoming planes.
As you can see in this video clip, beach-goers are positioned directly under the flight path of landing planes. The arriving aircrafts have to land so closely to the beach due to the incredibly short length of runway: It's just about 7,150 feet.
After watching this clip below, you might find yourself trying to plan a trip to Maho Beach, just to see this insanity in action. Then again, you might want to stay as far from these landing planes as humanly possible.
