If you’re looking for a place to get away from it all, this might just be the perfect thing. Finca Bellavista is a treehouse community that stretches over 600 acres of rainforest in the South Pacific region of Costa Rica. Mateo and Erica Hogan, a married couple from Colorado, fell in love with Costa Rica and brought their vision of a treehouse community to life there.
Finca Bellavista covers an entire peninsula of rainforest mountains. It has seven tree houses and seven cabins available for rent.
You’ll become comfortable with heights in no time staying here!
Imagine enjoying your morning cup of coffee in this guy’s spot.
Or waking up to the sounds of the forest and the fresh breeze of the rainforest through your room…
7 years after starting Finca Bellavista, the Hogans sold 51 parcels of land. Among the buildings they’ve built are a base camp, community center, and 5 tree houses.
No treehouse village would be complete without a hammock to nap in.
A pair of rocking chairs to sit and sip some tea in the morning. This has to be the most relaxing place on the planet.
The rain forest goes through a “dry season Mid-December through May. The “rainer” season is from June to November. Although, no matter the seasons, you can always expect rain.
Just cross the bridge to visit your neighbor!
Finca Bellavista stays closed during October due to the high amounts of rain.
This is base camp. It’s one of the only buildings at Finca Bellavista that uses electric power. It has a dining hall, open-air lounge, bath house, campfire ring, and wedding garden for the community.
Depending on the space you’d like to rent, nightly rates go from $100-$175.
3G cell services is available in most of the parcels so you can stay in touch with the world.
The cellphone signal at base camp uses a special amplification system to hone the 3G signal. All communication technology takes advantage of this amplified system here.
It seems like our childhood fascination with tree houses only gets way better here.
You’ll find beautiful waterfalls, whitewater rivers, hiking trails, and of course…
…a gravity-defying zip line!
You may never want to leave.
If staying at the Finca Bellavista is something you'd love to do, SHARE this with your friends! Nothing inspires people more than sharing possibilities!
