When you change your perspective, you can change your entire world.
Think of humanity. How do you picture daily life for yourself and everyone around you? There’s almost a guarantee you don’t see it the same way American photographer Alex S. MacLean does. He has been giving others unique view of the world for over 40 years.
He likes to take a step back to view life… from 5,000 feet high. He takes incredible aerial photos of the world around him.
1.) Beautiful and vibrant flower fields in Lompoc, California.
2.) Various lobster boats float lazily in the waters near Tremont, Maine, looking like a clothing pattern.
3.) Swaths of tomato fields being farmed in north central Ohio.
4.) A busy wave pool in Orlando, Florida, seemingly full of ants.
5.) Planes and other military equipment sit to rot in this massive mechanical graveyard in Tucson, Arizona.
6.) Surfers become one with powerful Mother Nature at Sunset Beach in Oahu, Hawaii.
7.) Rows upon rows of colorful shipping containers hold so many things that are key to our daily lives in Portsmouth, Virginia.
8.) Family, friends and strangers relax together poolside in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
9.) A lush, green golf course looks like an oasis in the middle of the Las Vegas desert.
10.) A housing development that looks like an oversized game of LIFE in Beaverton, Oregon.

Alex began his company Landslides Aerial Photography project to provide illustrative aerial photography for architects, landscape designers, urban planners, and environmentalists. He takes his pictures from 5,000 feet and above. He is a fully licensed pilot and flies a Cessna 182 plane.
During his flights, he takes pictures of life below, giving us an entirely new way to look at the world. With his help we can see beauty, patterns and natural wonder that we would have never seen otherwise.
His photos are truly spectacular. To see more of his work, check out his website, Tumblr, Twitter or Instagram.
